Whilst crewing for Aspect Television, Richard ate here. We were met with a warm welcome by helpful, good-humoured, proprietors and staff who understand hospitality....and most importantly....GOOD FOOD! We've always found Carmarthenshire a tricky county when it comes to finding good places to eat and I have a feeling that Jabajak's could become a favourite. No doubt there ARE good places to eat and stay in Carmarthenshire and we welcome suggestions from other crews. It was late so I did away with a starter and dived stragiht in to the Chicken fillet stuffed with goats cheese and thyme and roasted in kalamata oil. The meal arrived hot, accompanied by roasted courgettes, a sweet potato mash and various other perfectly cooked veg. Some of the crew stayed there, and we all met in the morning for breakfast. The menu provided for all diets and appetites, including smoked salmon, cereals, full cooked. Jabajak's has ample parking and patchy mobile signal. The only let down to the experience was the musak of the pan-pipe variety. I'll never understand why people use it. It's ghastly. The juxtaposition of heartless, banal, pap with the fantastic, original food and location, only served to lessen my enjoyment of the meal. If it wasn't for the fine company of the Aspect gang, I'd have probably had to listen to the voices in my head to obscure the bizarre Peruvianisation of Harry Nielsen!
