Artists Showreel

We have a long association with artists and pixel foundry has established an artist's archive to record them at work, describing on film the creative process that goes into their work. This is an aspect of making art that is often lost in television programmes. The archive is already proving to be a valuable resource for artists, galleries and broadcasters. The archive has been used by a number of magazine programmes on television and has added another dimension to the understanding of work in exhibitions. To ensure work is recorded to broadcast standards and with a view to allow the material to be edited by other programme makers most of the artists archive will be recorded by Pete Telfer of pixel foundry. Pete has worked on all the arts programmes on all Welsh channels over the past eight years. The Slate - BBC Wales, Dim Ond Celf - BBC Cymru on S4C, Artyfax - HTV, Double Yellow - BBC Wales, Y Sioe Gelf - Cwmni Da for S4C, High Performance - HTV

Before establishing Pixel Foundry with Richard, Pete, as a television director with the BBC and then freelance for both ITV Wales and S4C, has made many performance based items for arts programmes over the past fourteen years. He has brought these film making skills to Pixel Foundry and has made pop videos and dance videos through the company. Pixel Foundry can produce a range of performance videos, from multi camera events such as pop concerts and theatre plays to performances staged especially for the camera. These videos can be made available for television broadcast or distribution via DVD or streamed on the web.

Pixel Foundry provided all the coverage for the 3 day festival El Sueno Existe in 2005. This festival celebrating the life and work of Chilean folk singer Victor Jarra is a bi-annual event and we’re already in discussions regarding the coverage of this year’s festival
